In the midst of something so sombering as the Christchurch Earthquake it is always nice to hear stories of ordinary people doing their best to help others and contribute to the rebuilding of homes and lives. So naturally when a crew of young from local Wellington High Schools approached us wanting to run an earthquake fundraiser we were more than happy to offer our help.
The event is called 'There is a light' and will run 4pm—10pm on Saturday March the 26th. Tickets are $10 which is an amazing deal considering the quality and quantity of the performers involved. The Velvet Regime, Swifts and Sparrows, Anthony Young, Mantra, Samaori, Soviet, The Strikes, Kelly Harrison (Urban Legends), Sarah Prentice, Shipwreck, Where's Fluffy?, Meghan Glue and Armada are just a few who are lending their talents to the event.
