Bruce Pilbrow | Chairman

Bruce Pilbrow has been CEO of Parents Inc since the beginning of 2007. He originally joined the organisation in 2005 after 15 years in sales and marketing. Bruce is responsible for the strategic, marketing and business direction of the organisation, and manages approximately 70 full and part-time staff as well as 600 volunteers.  Bruce was a Commissioner for the Families Commission from June 2009 – June 2011. During this time he was also appointed Deputy Chief Commissioner and held the role Acting Chief Commissioner for a number of months.

 

Brook Turner

Brook Turner is the CEO of the Zeal Education Trust and is currently enrolled in Unitec’s Graduate Diploma in not-for-profit management. Brook is also completing a Diploma in Youth Work through the Youth Workers Network of Aotearoa. Brook has 13 years youth work experience and is a sought after speaker on youth development issues in New Zealand. Brook has written a leadership curriculum that is now taught in ten high schools throughout the Wellington region. Brook also specialises in cognitive theory programs helping young people work through social issues in a community context.

Tupetoa Ronald Tanielu (Ronji)

Ronji is from the un-official capital of the universe - Mangere in South Auckland. He is a proud Samoan and Tokelauan. He has degrees in Law and Politics. He is currently a Social Policy Adviser for the Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit in the Salvation Army. He also owns two small businesses - a consultancy firm and a security company. His interests are in faith-based community development, youth development, rugby league, zombie movies, reading books with pictures and anything to do with South Auckland...in that order! Ia manuia (God bless).

Jim McInnes

Jim McInnes has over 15 years experience in not-for-profit work. He has had hands on experience in managing youth focussed NGO's with particular expertise in employment, volunteer management, governance, finance and fundraising, consulting, youth worker training, policy drafting and the programme implementation.

 

Jonathan Cutts

Jonathan Cutts over 25 years experience as an IT industry sales executive negotiating multimillion dollar contracts between the government and the private sector. He also has experience in consulting to large overseas IT and telecommunications companies. Jonathan has recently set up a photographic portraiture business in Wellington. He brings a wealth of business expertise and innovative and strategic thinking to the Zeal Board.

 

Stacey Hitchcock is the Director of Zeal West Auckland and has over 12 years youth work experience. Stacey's work has included developing youth leadership training, outdoor education, event management and youth development programs. She has particular expertise in mentoring youth, training young event managers and creating new initiatives in music, events and the creative arts. Stacey is also currently enrolled in Unitec’s Graduate Diploma in not-for-profit management.
